Community Support Grants for Nonprofits in Maryland in Maryland (USA)
GrantID: 75037
Grant Funding Amount Low: $10,000
Deadline: Ongoing
Grant Amount High: $45,000
Summary
This grant is for nonprofit organizations that meet eligibility guidelines. It supports groups working in the areas of arts & humanities, Catholic activities, education, health care, and human services. The goal is to strengthen communities, provide safe and healthy spaces, and build opportunities for individuals and families to thrive.
There are three grant cycles per year—typically in February, June, and October—when nonprofits can submit a Letter of Inquiry. If that is approved, the organization is invited to submit a full proposal.
In terms of amounts: the minimum request is $10,000, and the median grant awarded is about $45,000. Funds must be used within one year of the award; this program does not support multi‑year grants.
Post‑award, there is a reporting requirement: about six months in there is an “interim grant conversation,” and a written report is due one year after the grant is awarded.
Once you have been awarded, you generally cannot reapply for another grant until three years later. If you applied but were not advanced to full proposal, or were denied after full proposal, there are shorter waiting periods (typically one year) before reapplying.
This grant may be available to individuals and organizations in Maryland that are actively involved in Arts, Culture, History & Humanities. To locate more funding opportunities in your field, visit The Grant Portal and search by interest area using the Search Grant tool.
